Aaa nothing I love more than a clean slate. I’m aware that not everyone believes in setting goals and think that new years resolutions are a waste of time but I am not one of them! It’s important to set yourself goals whether it be personal, work related, health, fitness related etc. and it can be fun! Reflecting on the year you have just had is also just as important…
The thing I was most happy about from my past year is that I have found a form of exercise that I love and have managed to incorporate it into my daily lifestyle, oh and starting LOCOFORTHECOCO.
NEW YEAR MUST HAVES.
- A Notebook
- A Fancy Nancy Pen
- A 2017 Diary
I want you to set yourself TEN goals.
DREAM BIG, THINK THE IMPOSSIBLE + MAKE IT FUN!
Whether it be visiting a new country, meeting new people, joining a new exercise class, learning a new hobby, doing something that scares you…the first way to make that happen is to get it down on paper.
Here are just some of mine to give you a bit of inspiration (or maybe not, remember this is personal + we will all have different goals and ambitions).
- Take a yoga class on the top floor of The Shard
- Learn to make pom poms
- Visit a new European City
- Go on a Pilates/Yoga Retreat
- Attend a dance class
- Learn to use my camera
- Use my commuting time more wisely (and refrain from tweeting southeastern railway 5 times a day)
- Focus on my blog + create fun, engaging content
- Keep my bath bomb jar full, ALL THE TIME.
- Meditate twice a day
- Do more of what makes me happy
I am attending a Beyoncé Dance Class with FRAME at reset at Liberty London on Thursday evening. Ooo and I’ve just signed up to an 80’s dance/fitness class at Sweaty Betty! I’ve already got a full jar of bath bombs so we are off to a good start. I’ve meditated twice a day (we’re only on day two) but I am following a starter meditation course with the amazing EMMA MILLS and will be writing a post about my experience on the course. AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD I am going to IBIZA in April on a Pilates Retreat which is hosted by Lottie Murphy and Kimberly Parsons.
TWO THOUSAND + SEVENTEEN, I AM READY.
Here’s one of my all time favourite new year quotes to leave you with…
‘May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.’ – Neil Gaiman.
PEACE, LOVE + NEW DREAMS.
