If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I spend quite a bit of time at THE BEAUTY BAR in Wadhurst. The salon is run by Emma Griffiths who has over 10 years experience in the industry and she opened the salon at the end of last year. #GIRLBOSS

They cover everything from facials, non surgical face lifts, microdermabrasion, eye-lash extensions, tanning, lash and brows, waxing, makeovers, semi-permanent make up, massages, manicures, pedicures + blowdrys. Oh and you can also have glitter hair too. FESTIVAL season I am ready for you and the beauty bar is where I’ll be headed. Not that I EVER need an excuse for glitter.

EMMA IS THE EYELASH QUEEN. If you’ve been tempted to get your lashes done, definitely go and pay her a visit!

There really is something for everyone. They also run a BOYS NIGHT on Thursday’s where your men can go in and have treatments with FREE pizza and beer. Amazing right!? They also do mummy and daughter mani’s which is a super cute idea.

The Beauty Bar use brands such as CACI, Environ, LVL Lashes, Eyelash Emporium, Nouveau Lashes, Contour, CND Shellac, Sweet Squared, Sienna X, Jane Iredale, Biosculpture Gel, Crystal Clear, La Cente and Lycon.

The salon is really trend led and Emma is always hunting out the latest beauty trends and bringing new treatments and ideas to the salon which always keeps me coming back. Hair Glitter, Rainbow Nails and Nail Stamping, has that not got me written all over it!?

Some of the treatments have the CUTEST names. Stark Naked, In-A-Dash, Tootsie Tidy, Hunky Dory…

I was invited in by Emma to come in to see the salon and have a few treatments while I was there. I would never usually treat myself to a facial or a massage so was delighted when I was told I was having both! Along with a manicure, YIPEEEE.

FACIAL. Emma used a mix of Environ products and microdermabrasion for the facial (I had never has microdermabrasion before so was so excited to see the results). It’s literally like a hoover sucking the dirt out of your skin and giving you a fresh new layer, OH YES. I was a huge fan of Environ products anyway but loved my facial and my skin felt AMAZING afterwards.

MASSAGE. The lovely Alice was my therapist for my hot stone massage which was SO SO SO good. I only usually have massages on holidays. I preferred it to the usual massages I have had in the past and the stones help with deeper muscle relaxation. Sitting at a computer day in, day out gives me SO many knots in my back but I left feeling a lot less tense (and with less knots).

NAILS. My all time favourite treatment. A fresh manicure makes me so happy, the BEST feeling. I am a manicurists WORST nightmare. I’m so indecisive with the colour even though I try and choose days in advance it never works HA. Celine who did my nails luckily knows what I’m like but we ended up going for a gorgeous baby pink, it was a CND colour called ‘BE DEMURE’.

I can’t finish this post without talking about the DREAMY décor in the salon. Emma has a great eye and has literally made her vision come to life. The theme throughout is FOREST GREEN and BLACK + WHITE STRIPES…with POPS of colour. There’s a pedicure station, manicure bar, make-up area, glitter station, blow dry bar along with everything else.

The pictures in the toilet also have to be one of my favourite things in the salon. Think Frenchie (Pink Lady’s), Mean Girls, Clueless and Legally Blonde.

They offer fun seasonal drinks and cocktails throughout the year too, that girl loves a theme. I can’t wait to see what Easter brings! Who needs to go to London for pampering when you can get all this in Wadhurst!?

There’s also a ‘GIFT’ area next to the till too where they sell stationery, bath bombs, make-up, products etc. Any guesses to what I left with? 3 BATH BOMBS, A POM POM STRIPY PEN + POM POM MIRROR. Yes I am Cher from Clueless.

Thanks to all the girls at the salon, I had the best day. Can’t wait for my next visit!
