It’s no secret that I am a lover of natural beauty products and as much as I can, I really try to use all natural/organic/chemical free products within my skincare regime. It’s probably two years since I made the switch and along with coming off the pill I have noticed a huge, consistent difference in the appearance of my skin and no longer suffer with breakouts and redness.

When Inlight Beauty got in touch to see if I would like to trial a few of their products I was delighted. Firstly because many of my usual Neal’s Yard products were running out (so it came at a perfect time) and secondly, I love supporting small businesses! I was asked to send through a list of any products that particularly caught my eye and then I received a surprise package through the post a few days later.

I was sent –

FACE OIL – £42

Ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Rose Seed Oil, Rose Flower Extract, Vanilla Extract, Mallow Extract, Rose Hip Extract, Lavender Oil + Rose Flower Oil.

The oils are cold pressed and the ingredients are anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamin e antioxidant and also promote elasticity in the skin.

I use a face oil usually every other night (often more during winter months) and I find it really balances and evens out skin tone. Anything rose based is also great for calming redness! This particular oil is designed for use throughout the day as it’s light enough not to look super greasy, I just have a personal preference of using oils at night.

Ingredients: Spirulina, Baobab, Rose Seed Oil, Carrot Root + Barley Leaf

A green smoothie for my face? HELLO. I am obsessed with using masks. I tend to now have to put one on when I’m doing mundane tasks around the house as the days where I could have an hour long bath are looooong gone however I still always make time to do one. I love a little mid-week masking so Wednesday is always my go to day.

Now…this mask does come out green on your skin but don’t worry it does not stain your skin. If you are a fan of using spirulina in your smoothies, you’ll know the colour comes through strong and the mask is no exception!

The texture is almost slightly gritty but I quite liked this as it felt like it was doubling up as an exfoliator.

Ingredients: Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Liquorice, St John’s Wort, Rosemary, Meadowsweet, Ginger, Cinnamon, Thyme, Turmeric + Beeswax

I’ve recently started running so thought this one could be an interesting product to try as I’ve never used something like it before and thought it would be brilliant for aching joints and muscles! My boyfriend also trains a lot so wanted to get him to try it to see his thoughts.

As I don’t do a lot of cardio, when I do, boy do I ache (for days). Along with an epsom salt bath, using the balm after exercising definitely relieved some of the aches and pains. I’ve found it actually most beneficial to use on my neck and shoulders as the strain of constantly carrying a relatively chubby baby is definitely taking it’s toll so I have been using it after a bath at night and then rubbing it on before I go to sleep.

So who are Inlight Beauty? All of their products are vegetarian friendly and 100% organic. The products are formulated by skin expert Dr Spiezia in Cornwall, the products are all oil based, they contain a high concentration of phytonutrients, all the bio active plant ingredients are created in house and all products are 100% organic and free from synthetics and chemical fragrances!

You’ll also be pleased to know they are cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians (and the oils are suitable for vegans). The products are only tested on willing humans!

The packaging is really gorgeous and from learning more about Inlight Beauty, I have learnt that the packaging was created alongside a local cornish artist who specialises in watercolours. The actual bottles/pots themselves are a glossy black with white font.

I’ve really loved trialling the products and hope all you natural beauty lovers enjoy reading more about the brand and their products!
